It is very important that you maintain a backup of your WashWORX
controller diskette. It is also a good idea to print out the
configuration information. If the backup fails it will be easier to
re-create the system if the tunnel items are known.
You can print out the information by placing the controller in STOP
and using the diagnostic key. A menu of functions, some of which list
programming information, will be displayed. After making a selection and
the report information starts to display on the screen, select the print
fucntion (button #2)
When you are ready to make a Backup of your current diskette follow these steps:
- Obtain the correct type of diskette. DO NOT use standard PC diskettes.
- STOP washing cars.
- Connect your keyboard and MOUSE to WashWORX if they are not already connected.
- Remove the existing diskette from the disk drive and slide the
write protect tab so that a hole appears in the corner of the jacket.
- Put the diskette back in the drive and wait 10 seconds to insure the drive's L.E.D. (light) is not lit.
- Turn OFF POWER to WashWORX, wait 10 seconds, Turn ON POWER to WashWORX and wait for the Startup MENU to appear.
- Move the MOUSE over the blue COPY VERSION Box and click the LEFT MOUSE button one time.
- A set of instructions describing how to copy a diskette will be displayed. Follow those or the balance shown here.
- Remove the existing diskette from the disk drive.
- Click the LEFT MOUSE button in the body of the screen one time.
- An ERROR message box will appear. Click the Cancel button in the lower
right corner of the message box until the message no longer re-displays.
- An AMIGA DOS prompt will appear "1>"
- Put the existing diskette back in the drive and wait 10 seconds to insure the drive's L.E.D. (light) is not lit.
- Enter the command df0:c/diskcopy df0: to df0: and press ENTER.
- The message Place source disk (FROM disk) in drive DF0:
Press RETURN to continue will appear.
- Press the ENTER key and a portion of this diskette image will be
read into memory.
- You will be prompted again for the DESTINATION (TO disk). Tkae the
source diskete out of drive and put the diskette you are going to use as
your BACKUP in the drive, then Press ENTER to start writing a portion of the image to this diskette.
- Repeat this process as necessary, each time you are prompted, being
extra careful not to mix the source and destination diskettes.
- When the process is completed the prompt will return to "1>"
- Keep the BACKUP diskette in a safe location.
- Put the existing diskette back in the drive and wait 10 seconds to insure the drive's L.E.D. (light) is not lit.
- Turn OFF POWER to WashWORX, wait 10 seconds, Turn ON POWER to WashWORX and wait for the Startup MENU to appear.
- WashWORX will return to the Tunnel program if you do not click on any other function boxes.
I hope these instructions are clear enough to get you to a SAFE operating condition.
